Golden Triangle Tourist Circuit Delhi Agra and Jaipur

I am sharing the itinerary of famous Golden triangle tour that is Delhi Agra Jaipur tour and it is also called india’s golden triangle tour india. The reason it’s called triangle tour is because of the triangular shape of these destination in the map. It connects Delhi the capital of india with Agra – yes the most popular Taj mahal city and Jaipur – the pink city of india. The total distance is approx. 700 km. Via road. The approximate time to reach one city to another is 3-4 hour of drive.

Let’s begin our triangle trip with Delhi city tour. First, we are visiting the famous minar of Delhi Qutub Minar. It is the tallest brick minaret (73m Height) in Mehrauli, Delhi. The construction of this minaret started in back 1193 led by that time emperor Qutab -Ad-Din Aibak. It is an UNESCO world heritage site. Many tourists come to visit this place daily and if you love historical places and photography you gonna love this place for sure. In the mosque there is an iron pillar and this is not an ordinary pillar it is 1600 years old rust-free pillar that too in good condition. You must see this. Visiting hors is from 7am-5pm and ticket is 200 INR for foreign tourist and 40 for Indian with extra charges of 30 INR for bringing cameras. You can also explore nearby mehrauli market to get good quality dry foods at reasonable price.

Second destination is Lotus temple. As the name resembles has a beautiful shape like lotus. – this structure dedicated to Baha’i faith. The construction of lotus temple was completed in 1986. The lotus temple is the part of seven Baha’i houses of worship in the world. It is one of the favourite tourist places of Delhi nowadays. The surrounding park is in good condition, so you can enjoy some peaceful time here and spend some time.

Next is Agrasen Ki Baoli – Its an ancient time system for water conservation. It has built in a breath-taking manner. Perfect place for hang out. The innermost side of the place after stepping the way down is the one of the amazing sight. It is the best place to relax, chill and click some amazing shot at the main centre of Delhi’s Connaught place area. Parking could be a issue here because of the low area space.

 Rashtrapati Bhavan– the official residence of president of India and here you will explore the most important government buildings of India including Secretariat building PMO- prime Minister’s office.

Next is Red Fort – The most popular place of new Delhi. The fort is a historical place in the centre of Delhi. It was the built by Shah Jahan, that time  Mughal emperor of Delhi. It is also an UNESCO world heritage site since 2007.  Fort is full of some amazing architectural work. Inside there is a small market specially for tourist so you can bring some memories home and enjoy shopping. Entry fee is 50 for Indian tourist and 200 for foreign tourists and guide charges is  200 INR. So, when you are visiting Red Fort also known as ( Lal Quila ) then don’t miss the chance to explore Chandni Chowk the biggest, most popular and oldest clothes market of Delhi. You can easily spend 3-4 hour easily in shopping and you won’t get bored. Note: market is full of people heavy crowd rest is fine. Go get something for you from Chandni Chowk. Well Delhi tour has many things to cover so I will write again but this time in detail. Next stop is India gate also know as India war memorial located near rajpath in new Delhi. This place is a beautiful sight with this 42 meter tall historical structure and it is one of the largest war memorial in India. Dedicated to 82,000 Indian and British soldiers.  So better not to miss it when you come to visit Delhi.

Now let’s move towards our beautiful world-famous city Agra, the city of Taj Mahal. To cover Agra in just one day make sure you do early check out from the hotel. Its is approx. 230 km from Delhi via road – Taj express highway. Agra was the capital city in Mughal era. Now it is one of the primary tourist attractions in the country and here you can see a very large number of tourists from all around the globe. Taj mahal is made by the famous ivory-white marble. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan had built it in the memory of his loving wife Mumtaz mahal. It is one of the wonders of 7 wonders of the world. The best time to visit is from oct- march. Agra has some notable attractions apart from Taj mahal. You can also explore Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri and these all are now UNESCO world heritage sites.

Now the last destination of our golden triangle tour is Jaipur, Rajasthan. It’s around 240 km from Agra.  Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal are the main tourist attractions. Hawa Mahal stands in at the intersection of the main road and to enjoy this beautiful place visit this in the evening and and you can enjoy the breath-taking view from the opposite side cafes like this. Amber Fort (Amer Fort ) is situated in Amer, built by Raja Man Singh. Fort is 11 kms away from the Jaipur city and you can easily reach to Amber fort by private car, taxi and cab. Next is Nahargarh Fort situated in the edge of aravalli hills along with amer fort and built by Maharaja Sawai jai singh  as a royal retreat. Jaigarh Fort– also located on the edge of aravalli range along with nahargarh fort. The fort was built by Jai singh || to protect amber fort and it’s complexes. Jal Mahal – a palace in the middle of a lake. The beautiful palace is one of the best of its kind.While visiting forts you can enjoy the beautiful architecture work, breath-taking view and royal life of Rajasthan.
